CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) - A Cleveland school’s security guard is in jail on a $250,000 bond for a charge of raping a 15-year-old student.
However, the father of an autistic son in Cleveland Heights says he made a similar allegation in 2014 and wonders now if the story his son told him about being raped by Derrick Dugger was properly investigated.
Brian Wozny says his son “pantomimed something that was sexual. A certain movement that he should not have seen or learned anyplace else.”
He didn’t want to cause any problems for his son at the facility where he lives, so he did not name Dugger at the time. He wanted all the employees who work overnight investigated. There are only a handful.
Some weeks later, he learned that there was no conclusive evidence a rape had occurred. This troubled him as he didn’t know how long ago the incident his son was describing took place. He put the matter behind them.
When he saw the new allegation against Dugger, it rekindled his suspicions. He has now made a report to Cleveland Heights police.
