JACKSON TOWNSHIP, OH (WOIO) - A Facebook post about two missing dogs in Jackson Township has gone viral. It has been shared more than 300,000 times since March 8.
Owner, Lori Beadling, is offering a $1,500 reward for Leo and Bear’s safe return.
Her husband took one of the dogs outside last Friday morning at 4 a.m., and it took off.
“We thought at the time one ran off and chased a deer, and the other squeezed by my husband and bolted as though they disappeared in thin air,” said Beadling.
The family has wasted no time trying to track down the two Bernese Mountain dogs.
“We’ve been in the woods every single day, the neighborhoods, handing out fliers.
The community, the police department, everybody has been so amazing,” said Beadling.
She says the attention from the Facebook post about the missing dogs is proof people want to help.
“People will call us and they’re crying for us, and just want to talk to us.” She said a few times, she thought at least one of the dogs was found.
Beadling said, “We’re so confused as to why someone hasn’t seen them running in their backyard, so we’re thinking someone has taken them maybe for re-sell or for breeding purposes.”
Beadling has this message for anyone who may have taken her dogs: “Please return my dogs. We’re offering a reward. No questions asked. We will give you your reward and please don’t do this to another family. It’s just devastating.”
