Fire rips through 3 homes in Newburgh Heights; multiple departments respond to stamp out flames

Newburgh Heights Police save family, baby during triple fire

NEWBURGH HEIGHTS, Ohio (WOIO) - Three homes went up in flames in the 4500 block of Pearse Avenue in Newburgh Heights on Monday.

Cleveland, Garfield Heights and Newburgh Heights firefighters converged at the scene, and suppressed the fires.

Witnesses say smoke could be seen billowing from the neighborhood.

It’s not yet clear what sparked the fires, and according to CFD, one person has been taken to the hospital for smoke inhalation.

Apart from the residences, a garage and two cars were burned up in the fire.
